Hi all. Here is my question: I'm looking for a program/ss that could move an active window every set amount of time, to prevent burn in on the screen.

Here at our NOC, we have two big monitors that stay up all the time to show our Networks. We would like something that might just move the active window a small amount at a time.

Any ideas? Googling this has turned up nothing :(

Thanx in Advance

Well, we have these two LCD's, and the image sort of "lingers" around for a while, after the application has been gone. So my manager is starting to worry that it might burn.

There used to be a screen saver in an earlier version of Windows that acted like a magnifing glass but was a crystall ball.

It would move around and contort the image based on the size of the "ball".

how about a blank screen screen saver. thats the best way to prevent burn it if you're worried about it. what good is moving a window around if the icons and taskbar will always be in the same place?

Well, the TaskBar is already set to auto-hide, and the program would just be a tad smaller than full screen, so moving it around would do what we want it to!

But either way, I guess no knows of any type of programs to accomplish this. I'm gonna keep looking.....

Thanx.

Which OS are you using.

XP Pro has a blank screen saver.

The critical answer is: do you want the information always visible but prevent potential burn in or just to prevent burn in.

A small application may be able to move the active windows around for you. You would just have to reconfigure it to act as a screen saver. (How - I do not know, but I am sure that there are tools out there to do so,if not wihtin M$ itself).
