need scanner with auto-everything in twain driver

I just bought a Fujitsu fi-6130z which stated it had auto-color detection and auto rotation. However, these things do not come in the driver, only in some other program. I'm using this scanner though inside a medical program so I can only use what the driver allows. That means it doesn't auto-color or auto-rotate which is why I bought it (for over $800).

Does anyone know of a scanner that has a twain driver with auto-color, auto-rotation, blank page skip, etc? I think most of them only do this using a 3rd party software program, but not in the driver itself.

Considering just how awful printer/scanner drivers and related software usually are, it won't be easy.
HP's software (that is insanely large for something so simple) doesn't even allow multi-page documents unless the first page came from the ADF, for instance.
You'll probably be offered an extremely expensive solution, but try asking the medical program's manufacturer (I'm assuming it's an integrated Hardware/Software solution).
