Need router setup help!

First off, i have bellsouth dsl service. I also bought a westall external dsl modem and a SMC router. I have tried and tried to get it to work, but nothing sees to work. bellsouth dsl says it's PPPoE/PPPoA and i have tried to set it up in the router, but i can't get it to work. I have relativly little knowledge when it comes to routers. For years i have just run a proxy server and it gave me no problems but i felt like it was time to upgrade. if anyone has bellsouth dsl please help. How do i go about to set it up? I know it's a little vague, but ask questions and i'll try to clear up any questions.

dude...the isp ppl wont help because they dont want you to do it...lol ok well anyway its really hard to expain on this forum to you why dont you get someone to remote help you if you have winxp ...that would save alot of foot work!
