Hey guys,

I'm looking to replace my current apartment and my current roommate. The apartment i'm currently at raised rent $75 and also makes us pay for water/sewage/trash ($50/m) -- so, we're paying $975/m for a 2 bed, 2 bath ...not including utilities. So, I'm looking for something to split in the $800 range (anything cheaper than $925). I would want my own room and (preferrably) my own bathroom. I don't smoke, i'm not (terribly) messy and I don't have any pets. I'm getting married in June 2004, so I would be looking at being in the apartment for approx. 9-11 months.

LMK if you have anything available, as I am looking to move in around the middle of August.

Thanks!

-Richard

I live in Davis, 20 minutes south, and my roomates and I have a fair deal on a 2 bed, 2 bath apart for 1150 a month. It goes between 900 and 1600 a month for a 2bedroom there. University town.

I live in Sacramento and pay $740/month for a fairly nice 1 bdrm apartment.

In regards to the first post, a friend of mine might be interested. I'll ask him.

Hey guys,

Yah...the rent for a 2 bed 2 bath is 800-1100 ...depends on how far away from Sac State you go. I live around 1/4 mile away and the apartments I am in now are taking advantage of the location (new management...) My fiance lives in a 2 bed 1 bath and she pays 1025/month, but it's a nice apartment also.

Yah...It has everything to do with how close you are to the colleges. Most people will pay more so they can walk to school, and the apartment managers know that (unfortunently). The town I used to live in (population < 40,000) had apartments that were 1000+ square feet - 2 bed, 2 bath for <$550/month! amazing... :frown:

Well, Davis has a .5% vacancy rate (yes, that's POINT five percent) and zoning restrictions on building new housing, while the university continues to expand. It's kind of a losing battle.

HotChic - I don't think Sac has that small of a vac. rate.. I know I can find an apartment there if I look early, but in August they will all be filled up. I'm just having trouble finding a new roommate. Most of my friends from the college still live with their parents and I'm not too sure if I can make it through another year with my current roommate. .. .. ..

If you're not opposed to living with a Christian, check out Intervarsity or Campus Crusade at Sac State. They may have people within the organization looking for roommates. It's often a good place to find someone, and you can be assured of no disagreeable gf's spending the night, or disruptive drunk roommates puking all over everything.

HotChic - Actually, I am a Christian -- and that's why I am trying to find a new roommate. My current roommate has girls over every night and drinks, smokes weed (I smelt it in our apt. once), etc etc. Thank you for the info.. do you by chance know if they have a website? I'm home for the summer and probably won't be able to visit Sac very often. :( But anyways, that definitely does help quite a bit!! Thanks!

im going to CSUS and I will need a cheap apt..

let me know if you find anything.. i will have to find something fast .. sem starts in september.

oh yeah check sacramento craigslist.. that's where im doing my searching.

I would prefer to room with an ATOT person.. should be fun.. I am clean, fun, nice, dorky, respectful, quiet (no loud music all the time - i use headphones)..

so i should be a decent roomie.

I pay $1150/month for a 1 bedroom/1 bathroom

I feel like I've been raped every month I pay my rent. Especially since I'm originally from Texas :(
