Hi all,
I have a laptop that I have been using all month at home. I have a simple ol router, three WinXp Pro machines, and the laptop is hooked up via ethernet, not wireless.
I hooked the laptop up to the enterprise network at work for the first time today, and now I can't share files at home without searching for the exact IP first. i.e. I can't browse to the computer via the Network Places -> MS Windows Networks, etc.
The only "change" I can find is that the node type on the laptop has been changed to "Peer-Peer" which I understand is commonly used for large-scale networks. Its a problem I remember from last year - no matter what my node type is, its automatically changed when I connect it at work.
Question - where is the registry key to change between broadcast, peer-peer, etc?
