Need Recommendations - Sound Card / Monitor

Hi all,

I'm in the market for a gaming monitor. I've been playing BF3 lately, and would like to move away from using my tv as my computer monitor! I would say my budget is about 200-400 and I game in 1080p.

Also, I'm looking to buy a sound card. My graphics card has blocked my other PCIe so it needs to be PCI. However, I did buy one before and it didn't fit into my MB. MB manuel says it has PCI, but when I went to place it in a free slot the card didn't fit. So apparently there are two styles of PCI? Any clarification/recommendions for a card that will fit my Asus Pro/Gen3 would be appreciated!

If it's a PCI sound card and your MB has a PCI slot it should fit. Sometimes I have to take off the bracket on my cards to re-adjust how it seats in the MB and seats against the computer case. I have had to adjust video cards, sound cards, etc.

I hear this is a very good gaming monitor.

Basically a 120Hz PC monitor with low response refresh & low input lag is what you want. Here is a great read on input lag.
