Hi there. There are a lot of different usb to wifi adapters and could you help me narrow down to some respirable ones? My laptop has stopped connecting to wifi so i started using Ethernet port for the time being.

Best would be trying to deal with the current internal WIFI

This can be a start - https://www.asus.com/support/FAQ/1037422/

Lso scroll down in this page there a Wireless card instructions too.

https://www.myfixguide.com/manual/asus-ux501-disassembly/

Otherwise, if you are using the WIFI within the same room ther a nano WIFI might work for you.

Example - https://www.amazon.com/EDUP-1300Mbps-Wireless-802-11AC-10-6-10-14/dp/B0823TCPPP/

This is a better external WIFI solution but it a clumsy setting.

You are a godsend. I couldn't figure out why my wifi was dropping. Updated my driver & testing it out. So far it looks okay.

Small Update: wifi dropped again despite having upgraded to the latest version (even though the link you sent me shows it was updated as of Dec 2020 but the driver version for my 7260 series doesn't seem to have anything as recent, but still got it 3-years further).

I'll try out the other WIFI products you suggested, many thanks!

EDUP i like this company and its wifi dongles.
Its not overpriced like netgear or any other company.
And its pretty reliable.
