Need recommendations on an HDTV receiver

My parents have a fairly new HDTV and need a digital receiver so they can get local HD channels with an antenna. The tv has both HDMI and composite inputs. I'd like to get this for them for Christmas, so I'd like a good product that isn't real expensive (i.e. < $100 if possible). They aren't home theatre nuts, so they don't need anything real special, just something that works well.

Any suggestions?

If it's a newer HDTV it should have an ATSC tuner and possibly a QAM tuner. You shouldn't need to buy anything. What's the make and model number of the TV?

It has an analog tuner, but no digital.

It is a Philips tv, but I don't know the model #

By "newer", I really meant new for them. The tv is 2-3 years old.

Your choices are limited. The most available is the Samsung DTB-H260F ATSC tuner, but it is a bit more expensive. [$169 @ circuit city]. And, it seems to be well liked.

solid signal has one in the price range centronics tuner

2-3 year old should have an ATSC tuner built in, pretty sure it was mandated back then. Mandate was July 1 2005 for anything bigger than 36" must have atsc tuner built in.

Definitely post the make and model number though.
