need recommendations on a good internal card reader

i am looking for a good internal card reader that can read as many types of memory card as possible. i would also like it to display the actual icon of the memory card instad of the generic icon that it displays for removable storage. anybody know of any that fit these requirements?

The icon display is just software.

Look for a reader that does SDHC, that'll get you about the latest available controller chip generation inside.

Just stay away from the cheap ones at NewEgg if speed is important. I picked up one of the Rosewill that was about $10 and it is very slow. I have a 150x (22.5MB/s) rated SD that only reads/writes at 1MB/s. With the same card plugged into a camera and connected via USB I get reads of 15MB/s.

But at least compatibility seems to be decent, hasn't had any problem reading the handful of cards I've tried on it (mostly SD, but a few mini/microSD and CF).

Do you have any fast readers that you would recommend?
