Need recommendations for wireless card/router

I know WEP has been replaced (and was never worth a damn anyway), but what is the replacement and is it any good?

A company employee wants to install a wireless setup at her house and the company has approved the purchasing of wireless card (she will have to buy the router). I want to install the most secure setup I can for her but haven't even looked at wireless setups in 2+ years. Thanks for your help
