Question Need Recommendations for new Graphics card in an old motherboard

Hey Everyone,

I have an old computer in our den that has an AsRock Z77 Extreme4 motherboard, with a Intel Core i5 3570K CPU and an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 650 Ti. I would like to upgrade it to something that's not going to cost over 100 bucks. Suggestions anyone?

Thanks in advance!

Not over $100? Easy, Ebay refurb/used RX 570, try to snag an 8GB one if you can, for around that.

For $110-140 new, you have your choice between RX 570 or GTX 1650. (RX 570 is faster, by a bit, but uses more power.)

What kind / count of PCI-E supplemental power connectors does your PSU have? RX 570 will generally take a single 8-pin (6+2-pin).

In the $100 range of GPUs, you don't get much these days. Pretty-much some flavor of RX 570 card, used for around that, or new for a slight bit more. NV cards are more pricey, and a GTX 1650 is barely worth it for gaming. A GTX 1650 Super (GDDR6) starts at $160. For that, you can get a new 8GB RX 580.

Wildcards might be used/refurb GTX 970 4GB or GTX 1070 cards.
