I'd some suggestions for LAN games that I can play with my son, he's 15 but not into computers other than games. We really like to play Age of Empires 2 and I'm wondering what some of the other good games are that are out there. Preferrable non-3D because I can't afford to upgrade his computer from its current P233/64Megs of RAM state right now.

Thanks for the info.

I'd recommend Starcraft, to keep up the strategic line. Also, We've been havin very much fun playing the Midtown Madness gold stealing game.

Carmageddon 1 and 2 should play fine. They are pretty cool as long as you don't mind the blood and violence. There's also Warcraft 1 and 2 - Grand Theft Auto 2 - The entire Command and Conquer series (including Tiberian Sun and Red Alert 1 and 2) - Diablo 1 and 2 - Worms 1, 2, & Armageddon (these can get addicting). These should give you hours of fun! My favorites out of this list are: Carmageddon 2 (and TDK2000 - not listed because it's pretty graphic intense like the 3D games), and Red Alert 2.

probably the best games of all time, Quake 1 and 2. At college we used to play 16 people on our lan and it was awesome

I second Diablo 2 but it's pretty demanding as far as hardware specs. Worms is definately addicting. Worms World Party is coming out this year, might want to look at that. Black and White looks incredible but you'll probably need a hardware upgrade to run that. Stick with Starcraft, great game and easy on the specs.
