Need Recommendations for Buying 3d Card

I currently have a AMD XP ATHLON 2200, MSI KT4V motherboard, nad 512 RAM. And i was planning to get a new 3D Card. Something around or less than 100 US Dollars. I want to have enough VGA Ram to play Command and Conquer Generals, and war of the ring. Should i look for higher ram amount, i.e: 64,128 or go for brand??
Any help or advice is much appreciated!!

What graphics card do you have now??? Just doing a little research, looks like a radeon 9600 might be your best buy at that price. But people are saying that prices should drop in a few weeks since new generation cards are supposed to arrive.

Uhm I'm still holding onto my old riva tnt2 PCI card that i had years ago. BTW what's a 4600? Geforce? Radeon?

Yeah, 9600 pro is nice, running one now in overclocked 2500m system. They can be had new for $125 at newegg if you feel like stretching yoru budget a bit. Go over to FS/FT forum and look for folks posting about Nvidia TI4200's. You should find them there for $80 or so. Also a very good card for it's age and the budget you have.
