Need recommendations for a GPU cooler please

Not sure whether to post this here or in the video forum 😕 😀

What gpu coolers are recommended? (For a GF4 Ti4200) Noise isn't really a problem since gpu/chipset coolers are never really too loud, so I'm all for active cooling. I was considering 2 TTake products: the Crystal Orb and the Blue Orb. Crystal Orb puts out 12.4 cfms while the Blue Orb pushes 15 cfm, but for some reason Blue orbs are cheaper. Besides TTake coolers what other coolers are good? Thanks.

neither of the TT orbs will likely cool well enough for your card, and I would stray from the loud and inefficient TTGF4 cooler, as well.

Zalman ZM-80A HP.
A bit pricey but completely quiet and reliable.

I don't think the heatpipe will clear a ramsink it's put on the memory chips between the gpu and the end of the card, opposite the mounting plate. Possibly you could do it if you cut (Dremel, most likely) the ramsink(s) to allow the heatpipe to clear.
I'm not sure, though. If anyone has this card let us know, please 🙂

These guys should fit, if not looks like I'll be cleaning off the dust of my Dremel 😉

EDIT: dimensions of BGA RAMsinks are .600 width x .500 length x .375 height (inches).

Yes, I'd say so; I was thinking of the larger sinks that cover two chips at once, those should work fine 😉

I am using the older and much less expensive Zalman model 17 on my Ti200, and have not missed the whining of a fan for even a second.
