Need recommendations for 35mm point and shoot

Looking for a good <$200 point and shoot camera to give my GF for Christmas. Most of the reviews on amazon I read are negative.

Features necessary - panorama, zoom.

What about the Vivitar PZ3140?

Got to agree with the sure shot. Sold cameras for a little over a year... best one for the money. Look at Wal-Mart. They usually have about the best price.

Not sure about models with panorama... is that something you will use often, or only once in a while? Processing for panoramic photos is typically lots more expensive than regular 3x5 or 4x6.

I looked at Canon, since I own a G2, but the reviews I read on Amazon weren't very good. I know Amazon customer reviews aren't end all decision makers, but it's all I have to go by. Where else are reviews? The only reviews on photo.net are Canon SLR's.

Z155 - mostly negative
130U - no reviews yet (new model)
Z90W - no reviews
105S - mostly negative
85 Platinum Zoom - mostly good, one broke.

Others I've looked at:

photo.net article recommended the Olympus Stylus Epic.
Olympus Stylus Epic Zoom 80 - Amazon reviews said fragile.
Olympus Stylus Epic Zoom 170 - No counter?? No reviews.
Minolta Freedom Explorer EX - mentioned in above article. Amazon reviews mentioned some breaking
Yashica T4 Zoom - recommended in above article, and by someone on dpreview.com. In the article go to bottom of page for the new T4 Zoom - replaced the T4.
