need recommendation on digicam+printer

i'm looking for a recommendation for an inexpensive digital camera + photo printer to produce 4"x6" pictures.

all of the pictures are going to be taken in the same room. essentially, we want to take pictures of newborns to give to the new mothers. we're on a limited budget, and we're talking about people who are probably not very technology savvy using the equipment. it would be nice if a computer were not needed to print the photos.

what do people recommend in terms of camera/printer combinations?

canon used to have a deal where you could get a digicam and printer combo for cheap.

Let's say $400 for both
