Need recommendation for upgrade

Currently I have a e6400, Asrock mobo (has no pci 16 slot, uses DDR ram), and a evga 7800gt

I have everything else I need (x-FI etc) and what to upgrade my mobo and memory, and vid card.. I do not overclock, I just never fool with it.

Anyway I was considering

I have no clue on the vid card.. is gett 4 gigs of Ram actually worth it or should I use the extra 120ish on a better vid card?

Also, I don't have a fast hard drive 🙁

If you're gonna upgrade, make sure to do it right the first time.

I' running:
e6300 (No OC yet)
2GB DDR2
8800GTS
74GB 16MB cache raptor

Runs vanguard on high quality at 25-45 FPS, very smooth.

Recommendations for you:
Buy a 680i based motherboard and some nice cooling. OC that e6400 to 3.2ish. Go with 2 GB of (good)ram rather than 4. New vid card, either x1900xt+, 8800+, or wait for ATIs next card. Raptors are getting cheaper by the day it seems. A rig with all of this would be gaming bliss for a long time. I'm gonna pick up a 680i based board pretty soon to OC my e6300.

You do know that the 680i boards can't OC a 6300 as well as a P965 Express board could, right? Or a P5N-E SLI. The low multiplier of the E6300 needs a high FSB capable board, like the P5N-E SLI or the P5B-E (or DS3).

@ OP:
The DS3 is a great board. You should look into OC'ing your system once you feel it slow down. These Core2 chips have so much headroom that you don't lose any stability. Its also rather easy now. Go with 2GB for now, and add 2GB more when you think you need it.
