ip35-E
MSI Neo2-FR
GIGABYTE GA-P35-DS3L
ASUS P5K-E

Would springing for the pro model of these motherboards prove worthwhile? I don't use raid, and don't need crossfire. I'm coming from my build in the sig and already have OCZ 2gb ddr800 ready to slap onto the new board. I'm also looking to either get the q6600 oem from tigerdirect + after-market fan or wait for the new 45nm quads to come out(btw, when are they scheduled to come out, end of the first quarter?). So should I stay or should I go ;)

Oh yeah, I have an 8800GT 512mb so that's good to go too.

I don't think PRO version is worth it.

I use ip35-E with e6750, 2x2gb supertalent ram and 8800GT. Works no problem whatsoever.

Any stability problems when your board is overclocked? How about timings for the ram. I'm very very tempted to get the ip35-e and a q6600 NOW. Decisions, decisions.

Well i know about these boards, but i can't make a decision. I kinda want to save money, but i want a rock solid board that will get support and let me overclock without worrying about ram issues and such.

Honestly, any of them would probably be fine. I have the P35-DS3L running an E4500 @ 2.93GHz undervolted and rock solid stable. No hangs, BSODs, cold boot problems, RAM issues, nothing.

I've heard that the onboard sound on the P35-DS3R (about $30 more expensive) is better than the DS3L's, but I have no personal experience with it. All I can say is that the DS3L's onboard is good enough for my purposes. Much better than my onboard was with my socket 478 board.

Hmm, the D3l sounds good then, I'll go with that. Should i wait for the new 45nm quads to come out (in march)? Does anyone have any benchmarks for the new ones vs the q6600?
