OK, the Lord and Master has told me she feels intimidated by the four remotes that it might take to use to watch a DVD and has assigned me the task rectifying this. Although it will pain me to spend anymore money on my HT(hehehhaha), I'm looking at getting one of those universal remotes with the touch screens that also can do macros. Any suggestions?

All other remotes must kneel before the Pronto! :D

Had one for about a month now, and it is not only extremely versatile it's just a lot of fun to tweak and tweak and tweak! :)

BOW TO ME FOR I AM...... PRONTO ......

Seriously, the Philips Pronto is the one for you. You can get an older T1000 for less than $200. It is the best! One button to do everything, load it up with BMP's of your kids, use the pictures as buttons, whatever! It''s a blast to program new things into it... My wife would be lost without it. It replaced the 5 remotes we had floating around... And the RANGE on the thing is great. You don't have to point it...

Yea, i have a Pronto Neo sitting here in front of me. I also have a Madrigal/Microsoft IRIQ sitting here ready to be programmed next. The Pronto's are OK, but their IR emitter is extremely weak. My 1x3" IR receiver has a hard time picking up codes from the Neo when at distances above 12'. For me, that's unacceptable for a remote; especially when one has a giant receiver like I'm using, that should and does pick up most anything. I haven't tested the IRIQ, I just haven't had time. For in my room, I just like my simple AMX - Landmark IR remote.
