Need recommendation for a wine bottle opener

I have one of those cheap cork screw things. I have to pull hard to get the cork out.

Is there anything better? If so, what is it called, what does it look like, and where can i get it?

you can get the metal kind with the arms that raise up as you screw it into the cork......those are much more efficient than your current method and they are not 50 bucks like the one previously recommended

pft... never done me wrong.... I keep two knives.... one half serated switchblade in the visor of my car for dealing with anyone who tries to throw themselves into my car in a quasi-violent way.... (college town, seen it happen and become a carjacking...)

my other knife is the second or third fattest black swiss army one.... I keep it very well sharpened and cleaned and I use it all the time.... Opening things.... slicing fruit when watching the sunset w/ la chica... and you can never have too many philips/flat head screw drivers around.... what if something happens to your computer/car when you're not near the rest of your tools? It happens to me all the time.... 😕

If a girl I ever dated had the mental wherabouts to ever think into it, I'd like them to think that I like to "be prepared"

i always prefer the Waiter's Corkscrew.

simple, cheap, very easy to use, and it looks cool when you use it in front of someone.

but the various bunny-eared corkscrews work great too, they just cost 10x more.

Just get a basic Screwpull.

Cheap, very easy to use, and unlikely to break the cork. Comes with a nice little foil cutter as well.

Something like that has been the best wine bottle opener for me. Everything else I've tried has caused me much frustration. Plus at ~$10 it is a great buy.

When I saw this thread I expected at least one post linking to a sword. Guess not.

Walmart corkscrew set $8

also, waiter's corkscrew is .94 at Walmart B&M.

And of those with handles is also .94 at B&M

I use a winged corkscrew that I got from Williams Sonoma for cheap. I don't see a need for anything else.
