It sounds silly, but I need to run the phone with cpu highly load for hours.

So I am interested to know what device is able to deliver decent performance for hours.

The difficulty is, looking at silicon specification is useless, because thermal throttling will eventually kicks in and dominates.

Do you mind carrying around a larger device ? Larger = more surface area = throttle slower. The z3 tablet compact has phone function, so do some of the Samsung tablets

If you don't mind tinkering/root/flashing kernels, you can play with the throttling or CPU scaling limits

I guess you should look more at core/cpu efficiency than clockspeed

If you have access to a outlet, maybe a laptop to would do better

Yeah a tablet with phone capabilities might be better since battery drain is going to kill you in a couple hours and thermals will be better.

Platform matter? The ipad air would be the best overall, even last gens Air.

Anything sd810 is outta the question i guess, what aboot something a7 based like the moto g? Im sure you'll need a power source handy since battery life will be abysmal at 100% load.
