I am looking to get a cheap laptop (400-600$ range). The only things that really matter are that it needs a decent screen(14-15"), windows xp, good battery life and the lighter the better. Memory doesnt really matter as i can always buy more cheap and put it in. A decent size hard drive would be good too.
So i am looking at dell but their cheapest is like 600+ tax and everything comes with windows vista(this is for my mom so i don't want to get windows vista since not only will it confuse her to hell but all her work computers are windows xp) The refurbished dells seem ok but for the most part they aren't that cheap. Anyways thanks for any help you can offer.
