If anyone can recommend me a good motherboard to buy that has good clocking capabilities for a p4 1.8A. I was also wondering if anyone could tell me wether the new msi motherboards for the p4 as good as clocking as it's amd boards. I would really apprceciate it. Thanks! email me at upstage-5@attbi.com

No doubt about it. I got my MSI Ultra 845 ARU and I could run my 1.6A @ 2208 (FSB 138MHz) at stock voltage and stock HSF
Go for MSI, my opion

Check out the Epox 4BDA it is only $98 dollars at pricewatch, and it has the feature to lock the PCI and AGP bus at 33/66. This is the same feature that Abit has on their mobos. Keeping those in spec can really help overclocking.

I would think it depends on your budget. I have set up 5 different computer with a 1.6 northwood and I have gotten them all to at least to a 133 MHz FSB. The first board I tried was the Abit BD7 it ran fine and I just had to do a little tweaking to get it all nice and stable. Next was the Gigabyte board that anand choose as the anandtech recommended. It also ran fine but needed a little tunning. The epox also OCs well and I don't see any problems with those boards aswell. The trick I think is to get good memory and make sure that your power supple can supply enought current to the 12V rail so it is not loaded down. I would just get the board that has the features that you need.

Yeah almost all intel 845 mobo can get at least 133FSB easily.
I use MSI845 ultra-aru, same like PeterPan2002,
run the board on 138 on devault vcore. 1.8A@2.48 Ghz.

if you want to get a PC2700 DDR then i suggest you go
with SiS645 mobo, they run the RAM faster and the price is
about $30 cheaper than the intel845 on the same brand.
