Cause his wife would be funny as hell as a first lady she can't keep a funny/private story to herself. Also she could fund a large invasion of canada for their cheap prescription drugs!

Isn't this good enough? Don't all americans deserve to be able to have their curable diseases cured and won;t this help keep them from spreading to the rest of us?
Remove corporate tax loopholes. I paid more taxes two years ago than Enron did and they made a billion dollars profit and I made alot less.
Because he is smart.
Because he has a conscience.

I like the health care for all americans reason. But didn't CLinton try this but fail miserably because of a Republican controlled Congress? How would Kerry succeed when he's faced with the same thing?

As for corporate taxholes, I thought that was there to encourage Capitalism. Don't the stock holders of Enron have to pay taxes on the dividends they receive from Enron's profits? Wouldn't taxing Enron's profits mean the shareholders gets taxed twice?

uh no read here
here
The loophole that enron loved also was giving their executives stock options. When Ken Lay gave himself millions in stocks it gets directly taken off the companies profit for tax purposes. SO a ery wealthy company pays no taxes at all.
alot of stocks are owned by other companies also who may pay no taxes on them.Others are owned by funds, and other pooled investments which are tax free some of them. Others owned by foreigners. If we don;t tax business at the business level then we get no taxes from them at all. The best solution is to completely eliminate the personal income tax and fund the government with corporate taxes and tariffs. This could easily be done if those odd tax loopholes were gotten rid of.

IMO, you shouldn't need anyone to give you reasons to vote for, or not vote for, any candidate for President. You should do your own research on where each candidate stands on the issues that are important to you, and use that information to decide on your own who will get your vote.

People on this board are just going to give you the reasons they will or will not vote for him, and the rest will just play the usual partisan games all to common in this forum.

Interesting, and interesting article. But how would Kerry go about closing these corporate loopholes going up against a Republican Congress backed by the Big Businesses who benefit from it?

Well I have done research on each candidate, Kerry, Dean, Clark(before he dropped out) and I've found that none of them have really convinced me to vote for them. From reading news articles on their issues, it seems like the newspapers are just guessing at what they would do. It might be because its too early and they haven't formulated their agendas if they were elected president. So because of this I've decided to extend my research by asking others for their opinions.

Fair enough. It sounds like you are on the right track. I thought you were asking the people here to convince you without doing you own research, and it appears I was wrong.

He is not fiscally conservative. He's basically said he'll spend more than Bush, and raise taxes to pay for it.

Not with a republican congress he won't. Hell, half the spending proposals by Bush, if proposed by a Democrat, wouldn't have been close to passing.

not to mention bushies run away spending, not a single veto against pork. not even an attempt. bushies just cutting taxes for the rich and spending like theres no tomorrow. irresponsibility for someone else to clean up. he has no excuse, he has a republican congress.

kerry wouldn't give pat robertson 500k of tax money:p no attempts to mesh religion and government, impose abortion bans, impose absurd amendments to the constitution to oppress gays, no giving tax cuts to the rich, no using the military for photo ops to cover his ducking vietnam etc.

no, thats a reason I wont vote for him. i dont want my health care under control of the government.

have you ever noticed how a lot of initiatives the government meddles with turn to complete sh|t? need examples? social security, health care [in its current state], and education come readily to mind.
