Need REALLY QUIET 92MM fan for use as a CPU fan

I've got a PC-Cooler Mariana cooling my CPU and it has a 92MM fan w/ a rheostat (looks just like the Zalman fan controllers.)

I hate that.

I'm looking for a really quiet 92MM that still will spin (barely) when the mobo fan controller is at the lowest RPM.

You could always fashion your own with a termistor and a bit of soldering. I don't have a clue, i'd rather use speedfan and a motherboard header (or i just leave the fan at a safe voltage)

What kind of cooler and how much cfm?

http://www.sidewindercomputers.com/de92trbllows1.html I love this fan. Great balance, under volts to 3.5V, ball bearing and has a tach feed. I have two in use here. 40cfm.
If you want 57cfm the Delta EFB 92x38 at 57cfm is worth considering.

Be sure and check SVC for fans. I bought a dozen of the 48cmf Pans linked above w/tach feed for $4 each...recommended them here and two weeks later they were all gone Daddy-o

This has been a good quiet fan for me. Nexus makes good, although sometimes overpriced stuff.

These are quiet enough for me when cranked back a bit Nidec and you can't beat the price. YMMV.

The Mariana heatsink doesn't need much CFM. I just want quiet.

I've seen the Nexus. That looks good.

It seems most of the noise is motor noise as the PC Cooler fan that came with the heat sink already spins pretty slow. So I was actually looking at this JMC PWM fan too:

Then just buy the third fan I linked and call it aday.

The NeXus is sleeve bearing and the Akasa Amber is ball bearing. The specs are real close.
BB fans for CPU and PSU...I say.

PWM fans require the 4-pin PWM controller connector on some of the newer mobos for the cost to be justified (doubtful even then). It can probably work from a standard 3-pin mobo connector too. Have no idea what it might sound like cranked back but it's 40dB at full speed.

I've heard good things about the JMC PWM fans in the SPCR forums, so that should mean they are quiet enough for just about anyone.

What heatsink are you dealing with exactly?

PC Cooler Mariana.

EDIT: http://www.pccooler.cn/product/product_hp-900s.htm They show the Al one on the site, but mine is the all copper.

It looks like a water block, but instead of two nipples it has two heatpipes that go up into a big copper cube taht 92^3. It's huge, but there's so much surface area, it's sick.
