This will be for a E6600 in (more than likely) a Gigabyte DS3
I want 2 gigs of DDR2 800 (or higher) for no more than $200...

which of the following (or other, please specify) would you recommend?

Super Talent

Patriot

Buffalo

Safest bet for getting D9GMH is the Buffalo Firestix.

Oh, & *cough* P5N-E SLI *cough*...

Argh, I'm so close to pulling the trigger on a new build...so I have to ask. I was going with the DS3 as well, due to the majority of people on this forum using it.

So my question is...why is the P5N-E better than the DS3 in your opinion?

Ever since it's come out, i've seen countless threads in which DS3 users are having issues [when OCing].
I've also seen lots of praise for it too, so basically, it's a crapshoot.

I've seen far fewer issues mentioned with the P5N-E SLI.
It has better RAM tweaking options.
1T anyone :)
I has SLI support (useless really, but nice for those who feel SLI isn't a waste of money i guess).

I would say you'll likely be very happy with a DS3...there is a larger than average chance you might not though

Did you read the review links on the G.SKILL I posted?

In my opinion, they speak for themselves. I bought a 1GB stick of it with another one to come soon (when I get the money).
