Need RAM advice please

Ok so I have a Dell XPS 410 that came with two sticks of 512MB DDR2 PC2-5300, manufacturer unknown. I have four slots total. I just ordered two sticks of 1GB Corsair DDR2 PC2-5300.

My question is should I take out the two 512MB sticks and just use the two Corsair and have 2GB RAM total? Or should I leave the two 512MB in there also and have 3GB of RAM? I know to some people it would be "more is better" but I've heard it's not good to mix different RAM sizes together. I'm looking for fastest and best performance. Would I be better off with the 2GB of Corsair alone or mixing it with the two 512MB sticks that came with the PC? Thanks much.

Can you change the CAS timings in your BIOS? If not (which I imagine you can't), then the Corsair should be as fast as the no name and vice versa. In short - keep the 3GB.

High end RAM is high end because it can run at fast timings and higher FSB settings. Both of which are moot on your Dell.
