Need Quick Recommendations on Purchasing P4 Setup (memory, motherboard, processor)

building a new setup for a friend and need some AT recommendations and approvals before I make the plunge and purchase the products:

memory: not sure whether or not to get the 512/2700 samsung chips from newegg or the 512/2700 corsair chips from googlegear. which one will be a better overclocker?

motherboard: leaning towards the epox 4g4a at the moment. seems like a great overclocking board with good stability when used with one stick of memory. price is also very reasonably priced when compared to other mobos.

processor: what processor will be the best value for the setup i am running. i am thorughly confused from the little i have read. should i be getting a northwood? or a p4 2.26b processor?

thanks!

Errr...don't forget the p4 2.4 GHz also went down in price, by my calculations it's the best price/performance P4 out there right now. It's actually the same price as the 2.26! However the P4 2.53 is a good deal as well.

Memory, hmmm...heard alot of good things about Corsair, and it would be safe to say they are among the best. Make sure it's CAS 2 memory, not CAS 2.5 (CAS 2.5 is slower).

Mobo, well I've been leaning towards the SiS 648 chipsets lately, but I'm seeing from the reviews they are poor overclockers, at least from a couple brands, although the ASUS I want hasn't been reviewed yet. Still, there is something about them...especially the transfer rates from this "1GB/s I/O interconnect, aka MuTIOL", can make your HD's run almost as fast as SCSI. Why this wasn't benchmarked on the MSI review here, is a good question.

ARgh, sorry you did mention overclocking...ummm...I hear a P4 2.26 is the best for that for what you will pay if you want to OC. Yes, the P4 2.4 is the same price roughly but it won't OC as well. Something I heard on the OC sites...which you should check out anyways...
