Need quick help with GTA: SA PC

I'm trying to fly the harrier jet for the Las Venturas race tourny. I know theres a way to make the harrier turn into jet mode, but I don't know how. How do I change it from vertical flight mode to horizontal? You're going to need to tell me the name of the control and not just the button because I've rebound a lot of them.

Im stuck on the Z(rc) missions

Nevermind, I figured it out. I have to hold the Special Vehicle Control Up for a few seconds to go to jet mode, then hold the Spec. Veh. Down button to go back to vertical mode.

In the vehicle controls menu:

Special Control Up - (default is numpad 8)
Special Control Down - (default is numpad 2)

OMG, I HATE THOSE MISSIONS!!! The mini RC plane and helicopter missions are in the top 5, if not THE two most annoying missions.

If you guys need help on anything, feel free to PM me, though I am still far from done with the game.

the harrier is awesome...

For some kicks, type 'jumpjet' (spawns a harrier) and then type 'bringiton' (6 stars)... the military (tanks/trucks on the ground, choppers/harriers in the air) will come after you and you can have air to air combat 😀

and if you havent noticed, one of the keys will allow the harrier missiles to lock onto a target...for me it's spacebar, but I don't know what the actual function is :/ sorry

i'm playin it on xbox at the moment and am a little past that point. that stupid RC crap is annoying as hell.

It took me a few tries to figure it out too... and the mission is tough if you suck at flying.

You have to drive the boat into the ship, kill 4-5 marines, disable the SAM, steal the Harrier, destroy 3 fighters chasing you, then destroy 4 spy ships, then land at your airfield and park in the hanger.

It is tough!
