Many times you can get by with only one 4 pin cpu plug. You may want to contact Gateway with your question to ensure their compatibility. You don't need that big of a psu for your computer. I'd recommend the Antec Earthwatts Green 380W. It has the 4 + 4 cpu connector you are referencing. I bought it on sale at Fry's yesterday for $30 for an older pc.

maby i sead it wroung, it does have the 20pin main plug its just this one also has this 4pin plug. also mine has just the molex plugs but i have replaced the hd that now uses the sata plug. so i had to get an adapter plug to use the hd. after i put the hd in the psu went bad go figure if its not one thing its another.

You are right, your motherboard only has a 20 pin ATX connector. Most newer motherboards use a 24 pin main connector and additional 12v 4 pin (or 4 + 4 pin) connector for the cpu alone. Newer power supplies allow the user to separate the extra 4pins of the 24 pin connector to allow usage on an older 20 pin connector on the motherboard. I am unable to view a larger image of your motherboard, so it's unclear whether your motherboard has the additional 4 pin cpu connector.

Specs and image of your motherboard

Here is a screencap of the connectors of the Antec PSU I am referencing:

If your board has one of those cpu 12v 4pin connectors then connector to the left of the northbridge. Yes, that CM psu is compatible with that motherboard.
