Need PSU for File storage server

In order to complete my AVCHD editing machine. I need a place to store the large AVCHD files and I've decided on a file storage/server box. I don't plan on doing much but turning it on and off when needed. I'll probably use a maximum of 8 drives when its full but currently I have 3 or 4 depending or not if I use a flash drive for FreeNAS... if it's possible.

I am looking for a low low low noise/ripple modular PSU to accommodate the system. It'll use in the end, all 8 drive bays (yrs from now) a quad yorkfield 2x2g sticks and a 1900xtx...

I"ve looked at the PC & P 910 which seems like the kind of PSU I'm looking for without my preference for modular cabling. I'd just like to keep things clean... if I have to, i'll do the 910...

ANY other suggestions!? I've looked at Johnny Guru and found just the 910...

First of all a 910 would be WAY overkill on power. Even with 8 HDs accessing and CPU pegged that'd be maybe 300-350w? Probably less, actually.

Some recommendations:

Antec BP-550 - Mostly modular, only 24 pin, 4/8 pin CPU, 1x 6+2 pci-e power are fixed - $70 - http://www.newegg.com/Product/...x?Item=N82E16817371016

Antec Truepower New 550 - (I'd go for this over the BP, newer model and better I'm pretty sure - look up jonnys for review of the 750w version) Mostly modular, 24 pin, 4/8 pin CPU, 1x 6+2 pci-e, 1 strand each of molex/sata are fixed and rest are mod - $80 - http://www.newegg.com/Product/...x?Item=N82E16817371020

Seasonic M12II SS-500GM - Mostly modular, only 24 pin/CPU are fixed - $90 less $10 rebate - http://www.newegg.com/Product/...x?Item=N82E16817151056

Seasonic M12II 500 Bronze - $100 - http://www.newegg.com/Product/...x?Item=N82E16817151081

Corsair 520HX - Modular less 24 pin/CPU - $109 less $20 rebate - http://www.newegg.com/Product/...x?Item=N82E16817139001

Thanks for the recommendations yh125d! :)

The only thing wrong with Johnny Guru's reviews is that he reviews large psu's. The lower ones are from yrs ago. I kinda figured the 910 would be overkill but my primary concern is low noise/ripple... One of my very first PSU's that I used for 4+yrs ended up killing one of my drives... So, I'm sold on clean power. Do any of these report that kind of clean power as displayed on the 910?

Corsair 520 - http://www.jonnyguru.com/modul...views&op=Story&reid=18

Antec Truepower 750 (big brother to the 550) - http://www.jonnyguru.com/modul...iews&op=Story&reid=140

The Corsair has been popular for quite a long time, but is an older design The BP-550 is also an older design I believe, and would probably be on par with the corsair

The Truepower New line is that, new design. The truepower 750 is a great unit (I just bought one) and got the same rating as the 910. I'd expect them to be on par, but the 750 is a lot cheaper ($100 vs $190 for the silencer). I haven't seen a review for the 550 version, but I doubt it would be too different
