I guess I'm at the last step in building a new desktop, and I've come to the part where I need a case and a PSU. The system's OS is based off of Linux Ubuntu and I'm not much of a gamer, though I do like to play Urban Terror and the likes on occasion. Most of what I'll be doing is burning CD's and DVD's as well as ripping CD's listening to music etc. Basically a multi media pc.

I'm wondering though if my current configuration isn't overkill since I didn't want to spend a lot of cash (just bought a new Macbook Pro) here's what I've got on the list so far:

GIGABYTE GA-MA770-DS3 AM2+/AM2 AMD 770 ATX All Solid Capacitor AMD Motherboard

$136.00

Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 ST3500630AS 500GB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive - OEM
$79.99

ZOTAC ZT-85TEH2P-FSR GeForce 8500 GT 512MB 128-bit GDDR2 PCI Express x16 HDCP Ready Video Card - Retail
$20.00 Mail-in Rebate

$56.99

Pioneer 20X DVD±R DVD Burner Black IDE Model DVR-115DBK

$32.99
I'd love some suggestions on which PSU I should get, or at least how much power I'll need in order to keep things nice and level. And should anyone have a nice CHEAP case to suggest, I'd be more than happy to take advice. I know that I could always get cheaper parts, but I figured that I'd keep my stuff up to date and treat myself.

Thoughts ?

You're right. Nothing I'll be doing will require a heavy power load, I just want to make sure I have some power in reserve though, In case I decide to upgrade or add more peripherals or memory etc. I'm actually more concerned with quality rather than quantity, and want to make sure I won't get a PSU which is DOA, or won't blow in a year.

Thanks.
