I want to see what keys are added after installing unreal tournament 2003 (I dont want to reinstall the game again after I reformat. and i reformat a lot). So I have UT2k3 installed in a different partition and I keep formatting and reinstalling my OS partition. Except I can't just click the executable and play UT after a fresh install of the OS (quake works like that though). So I want to install UT, grab the keys added to the registry, and just make a .reg file so I can just add the keys instead of reinstalling UT.

Anybody have idea which program I can use to do this registry monitoring?

I have done a format and re-install of windows and UT2k3 worked without adding in any reg keys.

Or you can try Uninstall Manager(search for it in Download.com.) You can save multiple images of your HDD and system settings, and then revert to them after an install or uninstall. You won't see what specific registry items have been added/altered, but it will save a copy of the modified registry with UT installed, allowing you to revert back to it even if you dont reinstall the game.

Thanks guys. I used Active Registry Monitor (did a google search), and it showed all the changed keys. Now to add them back (just finished reinstalling) and see if it worked...

I'd suggest you take a look at Wise for Windows Installer. It support a "snapshot" feature that will create a nice MSI package (this technique is also known as "application repackaging" and is frequently used in the enterprise world).
