Need program to listen to partial Mp3 downloads.

Is there anything available to enable listening to incomplete kazaa mp3 downloads? Kazaa's built in feature does not work a lot fo the time.
Tia for any info.

Just go to your downloads folder. They will be .dat files. Copy them out of there and rename them to .mp3

Just go to your downloads folder. They will be .dat files. Copy them out of there and rename them to .mp3

Oftentimes the simplest answer is the best :D

I thought you could also just drag them to winamp, and play them.

I can't check right now, but thought that was the case.

Thanks for replying everyone. I should have added more info. I have tried Winamp as it is my default player for mp3 files. There are a lot of mp3 files that Winamp will not play until they're are completed although I know that some will. However I should have thought about changing the file extension (duh)...I'll try it when I get home.
I'll also try WMP 9.

it's not a DAT file, it's an MP3 file with a non standard filename extension.

OK fair enough. Open WMP then under File --> Open find the partial downloaded MP3 with what ever extension it has. WMP will recognose that it is an audio file (even though not completely downloaded) and it "should" play it. It works for me.
