Need prog to alert me of web page updates

Hi All. I got to a favorite website every day. Sometimes they have new items on sale that I would like to know of immediately. But they do not have alerts, etc. Is there a utility that will tell me whenever a static web page changes (they add new content, pics, etc)? And by 'tell me' I mean send me an e-mail, or have a pop-up on my desktop?
