need powerline?

i am wondering if i do need power line for my computer and ps3 since my network speed is about 6-14 mbps. i just want to increase my speed of network to reduce my lag for ps3 and computer. have tried to use Ethernet but not much different.

The fastest you are gonna get is what the modem dishes out. You can't add a device and increase speed. Although there is an apparent hack where you wrap your LAN cable with wire and it's suppose to increase speed. I tried it and it didn't work.

LAN over power line or ethernet, it doesn't matter no increase in speed.

Technology is Not based on words. You can call it "Hyper Super Duper Powerline", technology wise it is slower than Good pure Ehterent.

On the other hand if you would describe in technological terms what exactly you have there, it might be be that someone can help.
