I am looking at replacing my 650W PSU as it is now about 4 years old. My system specs are as follows:

AMD Phenom II 965 (Deneb) 125W 3.4GHz No Overclock
Hyper 212-EVO CPU Cooler
MSI 970A-G46 AM3+ Mobo
2x4GB GSkill Ripjaws DDR3 2133
Sapphire Radeon HD7870 GHz Edition
2x500GB Seagate Barracuda HDs
Lite-on SATA DVD Burner
2x120mm case fans
1x120mm LED case fan
1x140mm case fan

I am currently looking at this one: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817182262

It is currently $84.99 with an additional $18 discount good through 11/17 and also a $20 mail-in rebate.

I realize that it has a lower power rating, but it is probably a much higher quality PSU than the old one I have in there now. I am not going to overclock. I just want a good quality PSU to power my Phenom II 965 and my Radeon HD7870 that doesn't break the bank.

Thoughts? Thanks so much.

I read through several pages of the reviews. However, it appears many of them are reviews about the 650W PSU, not the 550. I am just wondering if the 550 will be sufficient to comfortably power my rig.

I use that exact power supply (the 550w), and I think its great. I run a crossfire 7850oc setup, i5 3570k oc, similar fan setup as yours, 1ssd/1hdd, cd/dvd, and have never had any issues. There are several reviews out about that powersupply (did a lot of research before I bought it) and they are all agree that it is a superb psu. I don't think you should be worried at all about it.
