The girl that I've been going out with just found out that she has an ovarian cyst. Please say some prayers or send some positive thoughts her way.

This is the girl I just started going out with on Weds., and was mentioned as the reason I needed good karma for in the gmail thread where I gave away 30+ gmail invites.

She is only 17 (18 on Thurs.) too 🙁
 
Yikes. she is kind of young. I think many cases of ovarian cysts are NOT serious. Have you Googled it?

Hope she gets well fast.

My ex wife always had them.

All it is is an egg that didnt come down.

All she has to do is take birth control to shrink them.

Ignorance.

While cysts are usually nothing to worry about, sometimes one must have one, or both, of their ovaries removed. There are four types of cysts, the seriousness of each is different. Most cysts are NOT eggs "that didn't come down."

Whether its technically what happens or how she felt explaining it, I dont know, and really dont care.
 
As has been stated, the severity of a cyst varies greatly. My wife had them and while they were painful for her they were anything all that serious. But they CAN be.

Or you may have misunderstood her.

My point is simply this. Don't belittle a situation in which you know so little. It's obvious he just wants kind thoughts, regardless of how simplistic the situation may be. Why do you feel the need to do otherwise?

My wife had an ovary removed many years ago because of a cyst that was wrapped around it.

I'm sure your girl friend will be fine.
