Do it! Do it! Do it! :p

Seriously though, I quit for a few months but one day I was sitting in my dorm room doing some homework and I guess the dude next door to me was smoking because I got a huge whiff of it and DAMN. I was like fvck the homework, time to get my smoke on. All it takes is one sniff. Smells ssoooooo good though lol.

Drugs are bad though, mkay.

A snake plant.

They grow kinda slow; but they're different, and they don't need constant watering. Drench it once a week or so, and if you occasionally forget about it for three or four weeks, it'll survive. Also, you can easily dig a piece out and plant it in another pot, or buy a big one from Lowes or Home Depot for less than $15.

My brother has one that someone gave my mom as a "new baby gift" when he was born (He's 28). Last winter it suddenly shot up bright reddish-purple flowers for about a week. He's not sure if he did anything different to it and I haven't had a chance to look it up... I'm not sure if you can trigger it or if it only happens every several years, but in either case it's still pretty cool.

Cactuses and Palm trees are cool, too. They're not "wild" where most of us live, and cactuses are almost impossible to kill. I'm not sure if they attract women, though ;)

Most plants that grow slowly and live a long time should be pretty resilient.

African Violets.

They can produce some sensational flowers, and there are a large variety of flower colours available, they can be real cheap.

Just watch to not overwater, I use plastic self-watering pots and mine (I have 8 plants) are going gang busters.

I personally think going the route of a cactus is best. They are almost impossible to kill unless you can't get sunlight. Otherwise you water them whenever you remember, which is not often. A lot of cacti also bloom nice looking flowers during the right seasons. You can get small ones in an arrangement, but if you are looking for tall cacti, I know they are out there. I had a cactus that grew about 4 feet tall. Unfortunately I do not know what type it was and I gave it away when I moved.
