Need Photoshop help

I need to know how to best change hair color in photoshop. I'm thinking of going red for the summer and want to try a few different shades to get a good match for my skintone before
actually doing it. Any help would be appreciated

Could make a mask around your hair and use "adjust levels" from the image menu.

create a new layer

paint some of the area you want and then fiddle around in the layer... stuff.. multiply, lighten, darken and all that stuff in the layer panel

use the pen tool to trace around your hair. then just to a little feathering and copy that section out. if you want me to do it send me the psd file and I will send you it back for your editing.

A quick and easy way would be to just cut off your hair (on the image), paste it on another layer and
then play around with the "Hue/Saturation" sliders under "Image/Adjust/Hue-Saturation".

that is what i usually do

usually with something like this I would do a combination of the replace color feature, and hue/saturation.

If you have the picture somewhere public I'll play with it and show you some differant effects you can come up with.

Select it with either the lasso tool or the magic wand, and go to (I think) Image>Adjust>Hue/Saturation, check the box that says, "Color", increase the saturation and pick whatever hue you want.
