The 10K res puts it way beyond the consumer range and can land you in the $1000+ price range with the Wacom Cintiq Pro line.

Hello corkyg,

It looks like you could help me!

I want to create a some artwork for the masthead of my website. I want it to be like something a child would draw, but couldn't get my grandkids interested. So I'm going to do it myself.

It will include the title of my website in block letters, and a number of dogs. First I'll do it all in black outlines, as in pen and ink, like the page in a kids' coloring book. Then I'll color it in just like a kid would with Crayons or maybe colored pencils.

I could do it with a Sharpie and Crayons or colored pencils on paper and scan it, but I want to be able to redo something when I screw it up. So I want to do each piece of it as a separate layer in Photoshop.

I have a PC running Windows 8.1 and Photoshop 6.0.

I went to the Wacom site and it was no help at all. I want something very basic, as I may only use it this one time.

Since it's supposed to look like a kids' drawing, I certainly don't need super high precision. And I don't think I have a need for a pressure sensitive pen, as I can use Photoshop settings.

If you can suggest a specific product, I'll likely just buy it without discussion.

Thank you very much,

Peter

Sounds like something akin to the "Toys-R-Us" logo. You can do that easily with PAINT in Windows 7. Why buy - it's built into Windows. 🙂

You can create separate bitmap files and layer them into PS.

Hello,

I'm not sure why I would use PAINT when I have Photoshop. Maybe I'm missing something?

But I want a pen to draw with. I have tried, and can't draw with my mouse.

I can afford what I need, but I guess if there are no specific product suggestions I'll just buy their cheapest product. I just need a simple pen for simple art... like a kid would do.

Thanks.
