Need Peltier Advice: Don't wanna screw up this time.

I am cutting and pasting from an e-mail I sent to the tech support at millisec.com. If you haven't purchased anything from them before and are looking for cooling gear, I highly recommend them. Very fast shipping. They actually list their phone numbers too. Very dedicated folks.

Anyways, here's my e-mail to him:

Hello, I have just gotten my brand new Leufken's kit peltier. I'm very ecstatic this time about the possibilities of higher CPU speeds. However, I was wondering if the instructions I got were any different for a P7125 installation. I got instructions for a Alpha P125, and I ordered a K7 kit. Right now, what I have I have done are the following:

Applied Thermal Paste
Place peltier cold side up, on top of the thermal paste
Removed the Peltier
Applied Superglue on all four corners of the peltier
Reapplied the peltier on the Alpha
Let it cure for almost a day
Bought Aluminum/Metal Waterproof silicone based caulk
Applied the caulk around the peltier
Placed foam on peltier
Applied 8lb dumbbell weight on top of the peltier and foam

I don't have a cold plate and the descriptions of the contents on your site, say that the K7 Kit does not include a cold plate. That means I just leave my K7 Transfer plate on, right? Which screws do I use to attach my K7 processor to the Alpha/Peltier combo?

Also, would my computer benefit from a card cooler, that places a 120mm fan directly over the CPU?

Here is what I was thinking about buying: Card Cooler

This time around, I'm not gonna screw up and I ask for your help so that I don't I plan on reformatting my computer soon, is my new Peltier cooled processor going to be fine? I realize this is basically a permanent solution, as the peltier won't budge from the Alpha heatsink. Also, is there a reason why my peltier only likes some of the molex power supply connectors that my Enermax 330WATT power supply supplies?

So what do you guys think?

Thanks,
Paul

I too have had very good luck with Jim & Michelle Phillips at Millisec.com.

Make very sure you know which side is the cold side of the peltier.
1) Plug it in for a little bit and you should know which side is the cold side.
2) Put a red X on the cold side.
3) Make darn sure the red X is towards the CPU and not the heatsink.

Most of this info is somewhere on their site.

If you don't have a machine running to test the peltier, use your car battery or a lantern battery. Don't be surprised if you see a heck of an arc when you hook it up. Most peltiers draw 3-9 amps.
