Hi,

Sorry if this has been answered many times before, I don't have much time using the search now.

I got a problem with my AGP slot, tried two AGP cards (9600Pro and NVS280) and both cause system crash/auto-reboot (tried 3 different OS ).
Tried an old PCI card and system is running stable now.

I am looking for a more up-to-date PCI ( not PCI-E ) graphic card under $150, mostly for 2D ( monitor is Dell 1900FP ). I want a DVI port. So what's the best value card in that range?

How about ATI 9200 or 9250 series?

Thanks in advance!

YOu could get a new motherboard for under $150 if the agp on yours isn't working. If you still have the video cards.
Those should be fine for mostly 2-D. A matrox G450 would work should have excelent 2-D.

Mine is a dual Opteron system, so I don't think I can get a new motherboard for under $150 :)

Thank you for the suggestion though. I found G450 on newegg
I need to compare it to the ATI solutions.

The 5700LE is another card to consider if it doesn't have 64bit memory. If you get an R9250, don't get a 64bit one. I notice the MAtrox also has 64bit memory.

5700LE

I think the 9250's that have 128bit memory would be okay. I just wish I could tell whether that 5700LE was 64 or 128bit....

Thanks for suggestion!
It seems to be well-priced.
