I bought an AMD 1800 and ECS K7S5A a month ago and have had nothing but problems since. I want to go back to Intel and get a P-4. I also bought Crucial PC2100 DDR RAM at the same time. Obviously, I don't want to upgrade the RAM again already already, so I'd like a mobo that runs DDR. I guess my inclination is to get a 1.8 gig since I've heard those are the most overclockable. I see on Mwave.com that there's a 1.8G and a 1.8AG. What's the difference? Any recommendations on a pc/mobo combo that works with my memory would be highly appreciated. Thanks.

you dont want to use board again right (because if you do, p4 is not the way to go)

difference between 1.8 and 1.8a is 1.8=willamette=bad overclocker, 1.8a=northwood=awesome overclocker

motherboard depends on features you want/need
abit it7max was an awesome board for overclocking, asus p4pe looks like a nice board considering its features, asus p4b533 was also a good board

Why don't you try the ASUS P4PE mainboard? It will work just fine with your DDR RAM and offers lots of O/Cing options if you want to. Plus SATA, USB 2.0, LAN, etc. Very good reviews and should fit the bill for your CPU switch.
