Need Overclocking Help...

I have a HP Pavilion 7960 system which I would like to overclock (it's currently running a P4 at 1.3 GHz). Problem is that the motherboard (Asus WMT-LX) does not seem to exist...I've checked the Asus website, it's not there, I've checked all over the Internet, it's not there...the only place it seems to be is inside my computer...I downloaded manuals for similar Asus motherboards, and they all refer to a set of switches that can be used for overclocking which seem to be standard on all of their P4 boards...except mine that is...the bank of switches that would make overclocking a peice of cake is mysteriously absent from my board...if anyone has any info on my motherboard, or knows what I have to do to overclock it, please let me know...Thanks.

Ur mobo is an OEM version (some features may differ from the standard ratail version). No switches huh...wht about adjustments to multiplier/ FSB thru bios?

Overclocking through the BIOS was actually the first thing that I thought of, but the fascists down at HP locked in their settings so that the only way to change them is to go through the hardware...thanks though

U could be stuck in this case 🙁. Anyway, I dun owned such mobo...maybe there r ppl w/ this mobo tht is able to help u...hopefully. :frown:
