need Outlook help FAST

I have Outlook XP installed and my hd is about to die...i cant boot into windows anymore but i hooked the HD up to an old computer as a 2nd HD...where does Outlook XP save my email messages so i can move them to a folder on the woking comp???

outlook.pst file

just look for .pst files... there should only be one per user account on your system... good luck dude!

where it's saved depends on your operating system. in 2K and XP, it's under your profile, in some 'Application Data' Folder. I forget where it is in win9x.

Search for .dbx files and make sure it searches in all hidden directories and such, especially in C:\Documents and Settings\

go to control panel --> folder options ---> view tab --> click the "show hidden files" radio button

Now go to start --> find --> files --> do a search for *.dbx

The .dbx files are the folders where your messages are stored. Select all, copy, paste to backup dir.

Edit Dammit. You said outlook XP. My directions work for Outlook express. Disregard.
