Need Original CD Rom

So I downloaded a couple of games from the internet and burned them to a DVD. When I install the game everything installs properly and sets up nicely. But when I click to launch the game, it says that I needed the original CD Rom for the game to run properly. Of course I don't have the original. So what do I need to do to play the games properly? I see 1000's of others who have also downloaded the game and don't seem to have any problems because they all talk about how it plays great.

Any suggestions?

Step 2.) Locate the executable on your desktop
Step 3.) Locate the nearest hammer, screwdriver or jigsaw. In a pinch, a pencil or butterknife would work.
Step 4.) Jam it directly into your eye.
