What's the best way to bind a report so that it looks professional? I printed it out on nice heavy 24lb bright white paper so it's quite thick (about 1/2" thick).

If I go to the local copy store they can probably either spiral bind it or ring bind it. My other obvious option is to three-hole punch it and put it in some sort of binder.

Any ideas or suggestions as to what is best for this kind of job?

3 ring hard binder.

much more durable and what is normally used in professional settings.

It doesn't really matter. As long as it's neat the professor probably won't care.

Used to use them all the time. Beats anything you can do yourself.

I'm not planning to do it myself... I'm trying to figure out what's kind of binding once I go to the local copy shop. I think that a spiral binding with a clear cover and a cardboard backing is probably best.

As an aside, is it just me or are color copies ridiculously expensive (Staples charges $.65/sheet at 100 sheets?!?, in canuckistan dollars)

dont know about your teachers, but mine specifically said no binders (cause they're way too bulky to carry around an entire class worth) and no spiral (cause they catch other reports and/or tear pages), so just go with regular ring bind. they'll put a nice clear cover and thick backing on it so it looks nice and professional

3 ring binders are too bulky and spiral binders are too clumsy

just use a big clip to hold it togethor

I used a small three-ring binder (1/2" would be good for 50 pages I think)... I think that'd be best.

Anyone else hate spiral bound? I hate the noise and feel it makes when you turn the page and the edges of the paper rubs against the spiral binding.
