don't want to start a debate about his is better than that, etc. I have both a Radeon DDR and an Elsa Gladiac GTS.
The reason I chose the Elsa is that it is substantially faster in most situations, and the 2d is as good as my radeon @ 1600x1200 with my 19" NEC FE950 flat, where the other nvidia offerings were far worse than the Radeon.
In building a third system, I am going to get another GF2. I simply don't see a reason for the GF3 yet, and the GF2 Ultra's are still too high (at least the brands I would consider), so I am thinking I will got the GF2 Pro route. What I am looking for is any experience or opinions regarding Gainward (support, quality, etc). This is what I am looking at:
CARDEXPERT V87 Geforce2 PRO/450 4.5ns GPU
64mb 128bit DDR, with TV out (Golden Sample)
$ 147 Shipping from $9.25
The reason I am conisdering Gainward is the recent reviews on the CardEx GF3 indicate the 2d quality is much better than the other GF3's (sharkyextreme review in particular), and I am hoping this applies to their GF2's as well
Any opinions on this, especially if anyone has compared the 2d quality and perhaps what "golden sample" refers to would be highly appreciated. Thanks!
