I have a piece of hardware which I would like to sell. After looking over the S/T forum rules I am still unsure if it is ok to ask in there what a fair price for my item would be.

Where should I post my question regarding pricing prior to posting it for sale?

No price checks in the FS/FT forum. The best way to figure out a price is to look in the forum(search) and on ebay as well. Post a starting price, see what kind of offers you get and go from there.
 
Try a search, and see what others have listed it for, and more importantly, for how long. If they have it up there for more than a week, it is priced too high to move. Also, check Ebay, watch an auction end, and knock some bucks off if you want to sell it here.
